We’re here to fix that for you. So, here’s a 5-day skincare regimen to achieve Rihanna’s lit skin just in time for your big day.

Trust us these are tips and tricks you’ve never seen before, and we swear by the Gods-of-radiant-and-pimple-less faces that these tips work wonders. It doesn’t matter if you have dry or oily skin because the ingredients below are all-natural, ensuring your sebum production and pH level is normalised and reaches an equilibrium state. So, this are for all skin types and can be found in your own home. Before we start, here are some useful tips for clear and beautiful skin.

Aloe Vera

Do not panic if you don’t have it at home or in a bottle. It’s better to cut it from the plant directly and it’s one of the most common plants in Singapore homes. Just ask permission from your neighbour or the neighbourhood’s nursery and cut a piece off the plant carefully. Slice the aloe vera open and you’ll find a slimy translucent bar of aloe vera. Make sure you don’t put it near your mouth as it may be super bitter.

Because Singapore is so humid, this is a really useful treatment as aloe vera reduces redness and swelling in your face due to the healthy compounds of the plant. Rich in Vitamin C, E and beta carotene which gives its nourishing and anti-ageing qualities. Plus, it makes moisturises your face without it looking like it needs to be pat dry with a kitchen towel.

All you have to do is rub the aloe vera all over your face and leave it on for 5 minutes, and wash it off with cold water. Remember to throw the used aloe away. You can use it at anytime of the day. After that, you’ll realise your face is tighter, way smoother and actually glowing even after the face rinse!

Green Tea & Ginger

You’ve seen your parents or your grandparents have a warm glass of this during the day and there’s a good reason why they’ve been doing this for decades. Ginger and green tea have antibacterial properties and they’re good for cleaning your gut. You know what they say, clear skin starts with a healthy gut!

Take an inch of ginger and crush it with the back of a spoon or a knife. Put it in hot water along with a bag of green tea. You’ll burp, you’ll fart but that’s just the goodness of the two swimming in your body and cleaning your gut out. If you follow this religiously, you would have clean skin in no time. Plus, it is tastes almost like plain water.

Tip: Add some mint leaves, lemon juice or honey for extra taste!

Coconut oil

If  Sofia Vergara and make-up mogul, Huda Beauty swear by Coconut oil, you best be using it too. It is an extremely popular technique worldwide and is probably in your kitchen cabinet somewhere. Coconut oil is made up of saturated fats and medium-chain fatty acids that help repair the skin barrier to hydrate skin, and most importantly reduce inflammation.

Coconut oil is also a great treatment for eczema. So, if you have any spots on arms or your back, apply coconut oil before you go to sleep. By the time your big day arrives, you can show off your flawless skin in your low-scoop back wedding dress.

Cucumbers are the best at lightening the dark circles under your eyes while cooling down and reduce puffiness around your eyes. This is so important for your wedding day because honestly – all of us can agree that puffy eyes and eyeliner don’t look good together. All you have to do is place two slices on your eyes, play some music and relax. Tip: Cold cucumbers are THE best!

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple Cider Vinegar, ACV for short, is made by fermenting cold-pressed apple juice till the sugars turn to vinegar. Asides the numerous health benefits of apples, the malic acid formed during the fermentation creates an antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties – which is why it is so good for your skin.

The smell may be too strong for some but the results are stupendous. Also,we all know that skin is the biggest organ and it absorbs almost everything that you rub it on. However, the best proven way is to eat whatever you’re putting on your skin. So, don’t be afraid to take a shot of ACV. This may sound crazy but just 3 drops of ACV is more fast-acting than your Oxy 10.

ACV Face wash (for one-time use only):

– 1 slice of lemon

– 1 glass of distilled water

–  1 teaspoon of ACV

– 1 drop of tea-tree/lavender essential oil (optional)

Rich in Vitamin E and other antioxidants that nourish the skin. The healthy compounds reverses oxidative stress from a poor diet, pollution and UV light exposure. It is super tasty to have it as a snack or you can even get almond oil anywhere in Singapore. It’s good for your hair but best for your skin!

Tip: A drop of almond oil on your belly button a day can get rid of clogged pores and have miraculous benefits.

Witch Hazel

Witch Hazel is one of the strongest, if not, the strongest herbal spot treatment. It was popular with the Native Americans for fighting sore skin, swelling and infections.

Although, you can only get it in a bottle on carousell for around $10, it actually is a real bargain. It works great as a toner and a natural deodorant as well!
